Crab Cakes: Deliciously and Quintessentially
Is there any food more quintessentially than a crab cake? While crab cakes show up on menus around the country and the world. The crab cakes are emblematic. And the recipe is not just one. Everyone is compelled to have a favorite. Some are loyal to tradition; others take pride in preferring something newer and more innovative and gourmet… Just try ours!
These crab cakes are everything you could ever want in the seafood classic: They’re golden, crispy, and chock-full of crab flavor. Ready in 30 minutes and served with homemade tartar sauce, they are the perfect easy dinner or low-effort appetizer
Ingredients: (8 crabcakes)

Cook time: 30 minutes

- 1 large egg, beaten to blend
- 1/3 c. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. hot sauce
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 can Lighthouse® jumbo lump crabmeat, picked through
- 3/4 c. panko breadcrumbs or saltines
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 c. (or more) canola oil
- Lemon wedges and tartar sauce, for serving




Dish Preparation:
Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk egg, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire, and hot sauce; season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, mix crabmeat, panko, and parsley. Fold in egg mixture, then form into 8 patties.
Step 3
In a large skillet over medium heat, coat pan with oil and heat until shimmering. Working in batches and adding more oil if needed, cook crab cakes, turning once, until golden brown and crispy, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
Step 4
Transfer crab cakes to a platter. Serve with lemon wedges and tartar sauce alongside. And enjoy it!!!
